What do I do if my trash cart is missing or broken?

If your trash cart is broken or missing, please call or email City Hall and we will put in a request to have it replaced.

When are the Board of Alderman meetings held?

The Board of Alderman meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month, unless there is a conflict, at 5:00 p.m. If you would like to be placed on the agenda, please contact City hall.

How do I reserve the large pavilion in the City Park?

You can reserve the large pavilion in the city park by calling City Hall at (573) 897-2236. There is a $50 rental fee, if you require electricity.

What do I need to get the utilities set up in my name?

To get utilities set up in your name, you will need to contact City Hall. You will be required to fill out a registration form, user agreement, present a photo ID and pay a $100.00 deposit.  The forms can be downloaded from the link below.

Do I need to have a building permit in City limits?

Do I need to have a building permit in City limits? Yes, if you are doing any construction to the outside of your house that changes the footprint, you are required to have a building permit. If you are installing a fence, adding on a new deck or putting up a shed, you will need a building permit. If you are putting on a new roof or new siding you do not need a building permit. There is a $25.00 fee for building permits.

How do I get a hold of someone regarding a possible water main break or sewer back up after hours?

To report a possible water main break or sewer back up, after hours or on a weekend, please call the non-emergency number for dispatch, which is (573) 897-0911. They will be able to get in touch with a city employee.

How often is the recycling bin picked up?

The recycling bin located behind City Hall is picked up twice a week, On Tuesday and Friday. The time of day varies from week to week. It is suggested that you bring your recyclables on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Friday evening or Saturday morning. If the recycling bin is full do NOT leave your recyclables outside of the bin! This could result in you receiving a ticket for littering.

How do I report a street light that is out, that goes off and on or stays on continually?

Please call or email City Hall and let us know the location of the street light. We will put in a request to Ameren to have the light fixed.
